LR3 - Trim Presses and Punch Presses

The LR3 Trim Press (Introduced in 2018) follows in the tradition and design of the LR5 (Introduced in 2012). The LR3 uses 2 x 65mm, bottom, and 2 x 45mm, top, linear rails and bearing blocks to guide the moving platen and trim tool with precision required for tight tolerance products. The LR3 is a 32 ton press with up to a 12" platen stroke and 14" shut height. Trim tool is side loaded and the treadle moves vertically up to get guides out of the way for ease of tool changes. Treadle is easily accessed from a series of catwalks.

  • Not responsible for any actual machine control as a result, one of its major advantages is that the machine can start and run without the PC in case of any issues.
  • An Opto22 PAC system manages all of the machine’s generic I/O
  • Machine data for data acquisition systems, can be provided via OPC.
 

  • A Galil DMC-40x0 controller coordinates the motion control for all of the servomotors. This system synchronizes all the machine cycle timing.
  • By request TSL can remotely connect to the control system to troubleshoot, modify, or add new features, via a secured internet connection.
