LR5 Trim Presses and Punch Presses

The TSL LR series trim presses are engineered with strength and precision in mind. Starting with massive, stress relieved frames and continuing with a 85mm linear rail and linear bearing system that provides the load carrying ability and precise platen location required in the trimming of heavy gauge plastics. The linear rail provides a cleaner running press by the use of grease lubrication as opposed to oil, critical for the food service packaging industry. The LR TP is designed to allow side loading of the trim tool for safer and faster trim tool installation. Optional trim tool carts and internal tool lift table further improves the safety and reduces the time of a tool change. The entire treadle is lifted pneumatically upward during tool changes to remove the guides from the tooling area further improving tool change-over times. The treadle is designed with quick change guides with reference scales and guide optional positioning bars to make the adjustment of the guides quick and repeatable for each product. The LR TP is available in three models of the horizontal press. It is also available as a vertical trim press and a pre-punch for ventilated containers, or scoring press, for tamper evident containers.

The TSL machine control is a user friendly, state of the art system that incorporates non-proprietary hardware and machine specific software developed by TSL.

  • Standard industrial PC, 19“ LCD touch panels
  • Log of all machine events and faults
  • Recipe management and storage
  • Machine diagnostics
  • Includes extensive configurable user security, password levels and online operations manual and help.
  • The HMI is available in multiple languages

  • Not responsible for any actual machine control as a result, one of its major advantages is that the machine can start and run without the PC in case of any issues.
  • An Opto22 PAC system manages all of the machine’s generic I/O
  • Machine data for data acquisition systems, can be provided via OPC.

  • A Galil DMC-40x0 controller coordinates the motion control for all of the servomotors. This system synchronizes all the machine cycle timing.
  • By request TSL can remotely connect to the control system to troubleshoot, modify, or add new features, via a secured internet connection.
